Just a reminder that all of Chaffee County is under Stage II Fire Restrictions. This includes all unincorporated lands in Chaffee County, including private property and state property. The U.S. Forest Service as well as the BLM lands are included as well as the towns of Buena Vista, Poncha Springs and the City of Salida.
Very little precipitation is predicted for the next several days over our region and high winds are expected today.
I wanted to remind all residents and visitors to our county to exercise extreme caution when enjoying our out of doors. Please exercise common sense when engaged in any activity as our high fire danger continues.
