Help is needed to locate a suspect in an attempted sex assault

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted sex assault in which the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm in an attempt to gain control of the victim.

We are asking for the publics help in locating Hunter Barrow Hyde who is a suspect in the case. Hyde, who has ties to the Chaffee County area, is twenty-five years old, 5’07” tall, 170 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Hyde was last seen in a silver Toyota Carola (unknown license plate) and also has a white 1994 Dodge Caravan registered in his name. Hyde should be considered armed and dangerous. Hyde is currently wanted on a $20,000 cash only warrant charging Criminal Attempt Sex Assault (class 3 Felony), Menacing With a Deadly Weapon (class 5 Felony), Third Degree Assault (class 1 Misdemeanor) and Harassment (class 3 Misdemeanor).
